From Honda to Ducati

Hello together, i'm Paco from Germany and so far, I have always driven differently Hondas. I own a VTR1000R SP1 and a NC30. I drove a SSS in a testdrive and fell in love directly. I already have the first 2500km behind me and i'm still in love.

Thank you for posting the photo with the Ilmberger painted bellypan. Could you please also post a photo of the left side as well? I'm trying to decide whether to paint the bellypan on my matte white SSs. Did you have any problems scratching the painted finish when you installed the part?

For the life of me I can't understand why Ducati didn't extend the fairing rearward enough to cover the (unsightly) exhaust catalytic converter. We received a 3/4 fairing instead of a full fairing in the deal. I'm sure the official answer would be " to protect the bodywork from high temperatures", but that concern can be ameliorated with available heat-resistant materials applied to the fairing inner surfaces.

Ducati is not the worst practitioner in this realm - look at the new BMW S1000RR exhaust!

Here some futher pictures...

The part is not from Ilmberger. Ist is from https://www.italo-shop.com/Superspor...39S::8101.html The installation ist not a big problem and everything works fine with a little bit touch up. Inside i have a heat resistent tape mat.

It looks like this supplier took the Ilmberger part and copied it except for the forward-facing scoop on each side, where the Ilmberger parts have rear-facing vents. Plus, they give the buyer the option to purchase an unpainted fiberglass version, painted fiberglass or carbon weave where Ilmberger does just carbon weave in gloss or matte finish.
