New first time Ducati owner from Germany

Hey there,

I just wanted to introduce myself quickly.
I'm Christoph from Germany and picked up my Supersport S with 5km on Saturday.
Had to wait for the registration till Tuesday, took it for the first small trip after work.

Broke down with an empty fuel tank despite the gauge reading half full....great first experience.
Ducati Roadside Assistance worked very well.....filled up 10 litres...still showing 1 bar below half full.

Hello and welcome!!!

Unfortunately the fuel gauge sending unit has acted up on a few members bikes but all have been replaced under warranty. The dealership should have noticed that when they filled up the tank for you when you bought it so a strong word with them seems in order.

Barring a few items, this bike has been pretty solid for most owners so the worst should be behind you.

Any pics?

@Heimix Welcome! Sorry for the issue, hopefully dealer will fix it quickly and you’ll be riding and enjoying the bike soon.

Also, the tank holds 16 liters, so although the fuel gauge is malfunctioning, the tank wasn’t empty.

Please let us know what the Dealer finds and fixes.

We only got 10 litres at the gas station to fill up.
I will fill it up completely today and see if the gauge works or not.

Ah, ok, understand...

Sometimes the gauge will reset itself. Let us know how it goes. Hopefully it was just a one off, and won’t happen again.
