Good morning from Belfast, Nth Ireland

I have been asked to post a little intro of myself so here goes.
I have been riding for over 30 years since I was 16 when I swapped a dragon computer with 32kb of RAM for a Yamaha FS1E affectionately known as the fizzy
Since then I have had numerous bikes mostly 2nd hand until back in the late 90s I treated myself to a brand new Yamaha Thundercat. With this I toured France and Spain, moved over to Nth Ireland from London and have been here ever since. I bought a Triumph Daytona in 2004 which served me well for many years until last year the wind upturned it and trashed the sidestand. With no side stand and no welder willing to attempt a fix because either they want too much money - one quote was 500 or they just don't have the skills ( crazy but true). So for the last year my bike has been on stands and I have left it like that in the hope my online posts to check a trader etc will find me my knight in shining who will fix the bike. Ok I am waffling.
Then a few weeks ago I was at my local bike shop, saw the Ducati supersport and on total impulse bought it. I have spent most of Christmas looking at videos on the mirrors and how to fix them so no doubt I will be picking some of your brains in the near future. I aim to fix my Triumph in the near future but until then I aim to enjoy riding the Ducati

@DaytonaNI So glad you joined us!

You'll find virtually everything there is to know about the SS on this Forum (the Forum Search capability works very well)...and lots of friendly, knowledgeable
folks to chime in!

We'd love to see some pics of the SS and Ireland, when it might be convenient.

Welcome to the Forum. I dwelt here for over 10 months while waiting to buy mine and learnt some good stuff. My bike is now coming up 20 months old and while I haven't done the big miles of some people, I do lots and lots of little rides of half an hour to an hour. The bike is just getting better and better and I now like it more than my dirt bikes!!! What a great bike. I hope you love yours after 2 years as much as I love mine.
(you will know from this forum that it might take 3000 kms before the gearbox and motor settle, mine changes and runs beautifully).
