Very popular bike here. I remember the original gsx engine was indestructible back in the day. At bike rallies the okes would wind up their engines all night but come Sunday it was the Katana that was ridden home. Other idiots had to get a truck/trailer to get their machines home.

Needless to say there is a lot of social media about the new Katana over here nowadays. I haven't seen one on the road yet though.

I nearly purchased a GSXS-1000. More power on the top end than the SS, doesn't have the lightweight "balance" that I yap about and no factory bag package.

The new Katana is a style job on the GSXS whether for better or worse.

That bikeís styling is entirely unimaginative.

So, lemme get this straight.

I twist this little tube, it gets loud, I go forward really fast and it makes me smile...is that how it all works?

I like how it looks...while there's loads of 60's and 70's retro bikes, this is 80's retro. The more I see of it, the more I like it.

I think these will be a good used buy in a couple of years.

Agree, it looks sadly plain. Can't even put drop bars on because the plastics are in the way. We'll let's see how it sells. I know I'm not in the running for one.

So many critics are ignorant of the history of the original...

She's not an Italian supermodel; they're high maintenance.
She's the cute Italian girl from school you wish you kept in contact with...
