This bike is comparable to our SS in intent and pricing (of the base SS). I like the IMU, TFT dash, cruise control and (they say) hidden mounting for the accessory saddlebags. I don't like the bike design (Japanese ugly), the 70 lbs weight increase over the SS or the (buzzy) inline 4 engine.

Much of the Kawasaki's advantages could easily be accomplished on the SS if Ducati wanted to - cruise, TFT dash, IMU and revised hard saddlebags with hidden mounts (like on the Multis).

I road last years, itís was hard work going round corners and I felt the extra weight, but I thought the engine was a peach...

I've owned a number of inline-4 bikes and all put my hands to sleep with the high-frequency vibrations. Plus, I don't like Japanese "styling" - there's not one current Asian bike that looks good to my eyes.
