Active heat is the only way to keep hands warm @ 40 F, either heated grips or heated gloves. We added the DP heated grips to both our SSS and are happy with them.

After 9600 miles, I switched out the original front tire to match the rear...Pirelli Angel GTs. Also had the chain adjusted while it was in the shop

Looking forward to your feedback.

I’ve got Angel GTs on my Scrambler and really like them. I went through two sets of OEM Scrambler tires that are semi knobby, so I guess in my case, any street tire would be noticeably better. But still, even after adjusting for that, I really like the Angel GTs.

Hi Ed...will do. I had the GT's on my Aprilia Capo and thoroughly enjoyed them...ate up the miles like nothing. Stable, handled all kinds of weather, took a while for them to wear out, so I have nothing but great things to say about them.

On the Duc, I've had the Angel on the back for a while and they perform excellent...wear has been minimal (I have almost 4K on the rear), handling has been superb (even with the occasional SoCal downpour), feel for the road is amazing and gives me lots of confidence with "spirited" riding. Now, they aren't the Corsa III's, but for the type of riding I do on the Duc (mostly slab at the moment), they are perfect for me. My buddy is in the process of getting a "new to him" bike (Tuono or S1000R), so we'll probably be heading up into the hills soon. It'll be interesting to see how the GTs (front and back) perform

my original tire is at 4500 miles and still looks good. I am on cusp of replacing it before I go on 1500 mile trip to the Ozarks in June.

[email protected], that’s pretty good. The tires on mine are also the original ones, and now has about 2800 miles on them. The rear is very close to wear markers so I reckon I’ll have to replace it within 600 miles, and the front not much after that.

I managed to wear the original rear in 8000km. Mind you all, the end of was fairly quick, as there are no treads in the very middle of the tire. I got a bit of a flat spot in the center, but the nearest treadwear markers were still ok. Regardless, to be safe I put new tires in order. The local shop didn't have Angel GT, which I wanted to try. It took less than a week for the tyres to shop, but my rear had visible plies when they replaced it!!!

@Ed K ...I guess I should have started a "new" thread since my bike now has Angel GTs on the front and back.

here's my rear tire. Unless this tire was replaced before I got it with 1300 miles, it now has over 4600 on it.
