Got the baby back from the workshop

So it's been a month since my radiator started leaking. Apparently there was no fin damage and it was the cap which was leaking which they replaced under warranty. But to **** things up they forgot to put the radiator guard back on. They better come to my house to put it on. Idiots!

Also there's me taking my chances with cancer before going to pick the motorcycle.

Hate when that happens!

Not always possible with internal work, but to the extent possible, always a good idea to check what’s been done by the shop.

Sucks, they once forgot to put up a fairing screw. If this is the level of work they do, how will I have peace of mind that they didn't screw something in the engine or what not

Yes, for me at least, it’s always a little worrisome to leave my bike for service. Have many stories I could tell.

Having said that though, even the very best shops make mistakes, sometimes. We’re all only human. But with the best shops, a mistake won’t happen very often, and they take ownership for the mistake, apologize, and very quickly fix the problem.

Yes it's very frustrating for sure when the pro shop makes a mistake. But as Ed said it does happen even to the best of em but how they deal with it makes the difference. This is another example of why I try to do most of the work myself though. However when it's under warranty it is at the mercy of the pro's...
