Looks really amazing. Fit and finish?? Does it come ready for painting or did the paint shop need put in additional work to get it all smooth and nice?

This is how the Supersport should have come from Ducati - a full fairing instead of the 3/4 fairing we got. If I were Ilmberger I'd be incensed about this product, which copies their design exactly, except for the forward facing scoops. A real design rip-off.

That is amazing and a heck of a deal. How well is the color matched? How hard was the fitting onto your bike? Lastly how long did it take to get from Germany and I assume it was packaged well... these kinds of parts worry me in long shipping.

Dozens of bikes: $$$$
Look on neighbors' faces: Priceless

The color is on the money, it took me about 1 hour to install, I had to make a couple of the hole bigger and adjust the brackets but in the end it looks and fits good. The shipping was actually arrived to california in one week. the only thing was that the instructions were in German i think so I had to wing it

Support this company and you're contributing to fewer available motorcycle body parts in the future. Why would a company design something unique only to have it copied by another like this one?

There's only so much you can alter it to make it unique, and there are several aftermarket fairing manufacturers for all bikes, all making similar products. Undertail fairings, for example, are made by several makers, all slightly different, just like this lower fairing. Why should only one company have a monopoly on this one part? Plus, does Ilmberger paint theirs or do I have to add that to the cost of buying theirs?

Yes, there are only so many ways to make parts unique, but this company took the Ilmberger part and made a mold from it, changing only the scoops. How would you like to spend the time/money to create something unique only to have it copied wholesale by a competitor? This is why companies like Ferrari and Land Rover are so aggressive when they see the Chinese (and others) making exterior copies of their vehicles. You SHOULD have a monopoly when you do the original work, something about theft of intellectual property. Ilmberger only sells CF parts, but if I were them I'd also make fiberglass versions and price them way lower than this competitor.
OBTW, I have no connection to Ilmberger, but I do sell motorcycle parts I created; fortunately no one has copied them yet.
