I don't think you need to use a whole can of cleaner, just a good covering of cleaner, sometime to set it, and a rag. Good luck in the future.

Try to check the clean and check for adjustment every 500-1500 miles, depending on how dirty your bike is and whether you garage it. Clean and adjusted chain is important.

(If I misunderstood, I am sorry but my I am offering my best advice.)

You understood well I feel shame for it. Definitely I improve it and maintain now properly but still feel bad :/// my and only my fault...

No need to feel shame. As many will agree, I've been shameless for years.

The whole idea is to live and learn. A dumb guy doesn't learn from his mistake, a smart guy does, a even smarter guy learns from others' mistakes.

My guess is that you'll need a chain and sprockets before long. But I've also said that riders have ruined more chains from over maintenance than lack of. My meaning was that folks adjust the chain too often and over tighten it. So since you didn't do that, you may put my theory to test. In fact over 8k miles, I've only adjusted my chain a couple of time. I've cleaned it many more times, however.

My buddy and I were able to have separate rooms but share a common porch where we smoked cigars, listened to jazz, drank whiskey, smoked a little hooch, and told stories to the wee hours. All the while our bikes were under a covered area in their paddock. It's a favorite spot of car clubs, so we saw a number of exotics rolling in. You're right on Rt 129, so the location is perfect. Doesn't get much better in my mind, at $200/night it's a bit pricey, but all in, I'm back there in a heartbeat.
Now that's what my dreams are made off. Fantastic!! I could live every weekend like that if my riding friends had the time. Okay, it's summer and time to rattle few chains.

Same here, I'm retired now, my riding buddies not quite yet, but I try to keep them motivated to keep riding. In fact I just encouraged one of them to upgrade his Ducati ST3 for a slightly used 2017 Ducati SSS. That'll keep things fresh! Have fun this summer and ride safe!

30k desmo service finished

It was a slow process and I had a holiday in italy and spain for a month in between. I found it difficult to depress the closer rockers so made a tool and while I was at it made a tool to seat the closer shims.
I only have a lathe to make the seating tool so the milling on the lathe is a bit average and being chrome moly the steel is on the hard side to machine.
The timing is so easy on our motors because the end of the cams have an upside down "T" slot all 4 cams at the same orientation when the horizontal cylinder is tdc on compression no need to mark belts with dots or count teeth.

The engine is quieter than before when it had huge opening rocker clearance.

Very nice. You wouldnt by any chance have the dimensions of your tools to share? Would be interested in making my own although itll be a while before I get there myself.

I went and nabbed some breakfast at Krazy Horse in Bury St. Edmunds, UK. Smashing.

Oh and yes, I did have a drool at the MV Agustas, Nortons, Fantics, Indians and customs while I was there...
