Congrats. I looked at converting the top end but found it will not work. Putting in a 1200 monster engine was always possible but couldn't find one locally. To import a 1200 engine will be extremely difficult due to obtaining a police clearance in both countries. Well done, I'm jealous.
Did you use the 1098 block or a monster 1200 engine block?
Do you think you'll get more than 160hp. With the lighter crank and 56mm throttle body, it should achieve it easily. Looking forward to the dyno results. Will you be changing to the 525 drive chain and sprockets.
Did you consider the strength of the crank case. A problem that's prevalent with the 1098 case is that it cracks due to vibration from the crank, just wondering if 1098 case combined with the 1200 bore pistons will exacerbate the vibration and crack an unstrengthened case. The roller bearing on the cranks end is more prone to cracking the case than the journal bearing on the SS case.
