Unidentified 'lying' object

As in 'lying' on the ground. Yes I love a good pun on a Sunday afternoon.

I was pushing the bike out of the garage and noticed this little guy lying on the ground next to it. It is made of quite soft, pliable rubber and has an air of being very 'new' about it...just the like the bike it was lying next to....

So I am wondering whether it fell off the duc. I've only had the bike just over a week and the only thing I have really done with it in the garage is remove and reattach the seat unit multiple times to take the rear cowl on and off. I've looked around the seat unit, where it sits on the bike, and the cowl itself and can see no obvious place it might have dropped from. Of course, its possible it might not have come from the bike at all too.

So, in my state of advanced perplexion, I thought I'd turn to you guys, the SuperSport Hive Mind, to see if anyone could cast any light on the issue or at least had any theories.

See attached pics.

Right back to the bbq

Steve

PS Please ignore the disgraceful state of my deck.

It goes on the 2 forks that go under the tank on the seat.

Sky thanks for the quick reply - I just took a look and can't see what you mean. I see the two forks that locate the front of the seat with the tank, but cant see how this relates to them. Can you elaborate when you get a sec?

Cheers

Steve

Sure! Try the attached screenshot.this is the set that I have typically fall off when playing with the sat. There is another one on the seat further back but I doubt it's that set. The seat has 4 total it's part number 86610301A

Sky you called it - I was actually missing both those little grommets from under the seat. Have just got a new one and reinstalled them both. TBH not really sure they do very much but good for peace of mind.
