Thought I'd mention that I've been running the Termi D181 on my SS for about 4 months now with no Upmap. Originally I left the baffle in but when I went in for the 600 mile service I had them pull the baffle. I didn't notice much difference really in either sound or performance and if anything- it seemed like the bike 'popped' a bit more with the baffle out (the little back-fire pops that Ducs do).

Well I'm picking up the bike tomorrow after installing the Upmap today. I'll let you know how it feels after I have some time to really put in some miles. And I'm still running it with no baffle.

The tech had done the Upmap on another bike and said it really makes a difference with how the fuel is delivered throughout the bands and that I should see a very recognizable difference.

We shall see.

Upmap or not- I highly recommend the exhaust- if for no other reason just the weight loss of the cat is enormous- and it sounds great.

If anyone else has done this Termi Upmap I'd love to hear what you think as far as before & after. Thanks

Finally bought the UpMap and flashed the bike last week. Went for a ride today because it was 40F and just warm enough to ride.

First impression is that the power is much more linear. The small dead spot around like 4-6kish is gone. Low RPM putting around is smooth as well. Sometimes when using the Q/S up you get small pops from the exhaust, but that happened with the stock tune as well. The off throttle, coming to stop burbling is still present, which I'm happy about.

What concerned me though is after 40 miles the bike showed an average MPG of 34. Hopefully this is due to the cold and testing it out, but I had like 25 miles of freeway cruising in there. I typically see 42-44MPG on a tank. The fuel gauge was definitely dropping pretty quick compared to normal. I really hope that's just the bike running more rich at full throttle than on the stock tune. I'm okay with losing 2-3MPG, but not 6-8...

@Lopez0101 I might have missed it, but do you have the full Termi exhaust as well?

You are saying you have both the exhaust and the UpMap installed? If only the exhaust I wouldnt be surprised, but both together I would expect a very positive review.

But I think that since Termi makes both the exhaust and the fueling map, they would be very well matched. If I'm remembering correctly, when looking at the dyno comparison, the T800 upmap removes the torque dip around 4-5K. And of course there's the horsepower increase. But for me the most important criterion is linearity of throttle response. It's amazingly linear from the factory. So it's hard to believe it could get a lot better. My bottom line for me, though, is that if IF I add the Termignoni, I will definitely use the Upmap fueling that's designed for it. Heck, I might even add the Upmap fuel map just for the stock exhaust!

Having said that, I'm also considering the Rapid Bike products. The Evo, for example is adaptive and constantly adjusts the air to fuel ration based on engine data and atmospheric conditions as opposed to a static fuel map developed on another bike. It's pricey, though, with a more complex installation than the UpMap.

Exhaust works very well as stand alone without the upmap.

I bought it and installed it. Mostly works great. The map disables the flapper. However, the software is glitchy but it will revert to the factory map if there is an issue and throw a CEL if you defeated the flapper motor. Its cool to be able to flash from your phone. However its not the most intuitive ecu software Ive used.

I've ran the upmap with the Termi exhaust for the last year and have had no issues. It works great for me.
