Headlight Help

Went in for State Inspection. No Low beam with bike not running.. IS THAT NORMAL?

Then with bike running I only have a low beam light on the right side. Left side out... Both sides light up when switched to high beam

Figured it was bulb issue. Installed the S H11 bulbs. Same issue.

Right Side on whether low or high beam. But no difference in brightness whether in High or Low.

Left side...Only works on high Beam. When on low nothing on that side.

I have extended warranty but the dealer is about 2 1/2 hours away and I need to pass the inspection. Tried to call them but they are closed today.

Thanks in advance.

It has a day time led, so either that or the single low beam will be on low beam. You choose what you want. Yes the low beam is only one side. Read the manual about the DRL and low beam function and where the switch is.

It works like this!
1. DRL on, both bulb off - Bike on or off with the headlight turned off
2. DRL on but low intensity, both bulb off - headlight turned on but bike off
3. DRL on but low intensity, one headlight on - headlight turned on and bike on
4. DRL on but low intensity, both headlight on - high beam turned on and bike off or on

Heck even most cars have automatic headlights now. Key on with DLR lights only, headlights come when dark and only after engine is running, low beam is right side only. Notice the two idiot light on the dashboard (DLR and headlamp lights).

I can't remember if the low/high beam switch defeats DLR and turns on headlights (I think so) in daytime. No, I couldn't find it in the manual and my bike was in garage, so it defaulted to headlight mode only.

We all have this mysterious grey button, left to the throttle, in the middle of the right switch, between the red buttons....

I have heard that in some countries/region that button is missing and drl-low beam is auto with engine start, I always keep mine at manual though, it doesnt always work in auto as well

As a couple people have already stated, itís working how itís designed to: LED DRL strip, right side is low beam only and stays on when high beam is turned on, left side is high beam that comes on or off when high beam is selected.

So you should be fine for inspection.

Ok so one more stupid question. Are the right and left bulbs the same? High beam is achieved by lighting up the left bulb which is the same type bulb as the left? I am used to 1 bulb that has a Low and High beam function.

Thanks
