HUD-Head Up Display

Are there any folk out there that know of any decent head up displays.
By decent, I mean the price and technology.

The only one I've found that actually has a price is the Eye-Lights
https://eye-lights.com/products/eyelights-gps-moto

They use the SS in their promo illustration video.

I've found digilens monoHUD too but cannot find a place to buy it from.

Nuviz has some users around here. It is a first gen hybrid device, so it is kinda bulky and has a price tag too.

I've been keeping an eye on the Nuviz but honestly I prefer something inside the visor. Much like the eye-lights.com
Also Bikesystems have the BikeHUD and they're about to release some new products. Digilens R&D supply Sena and HUDway. Can't buy the product yet though. Which to me is largely odd.
I don't think it will be long before these become mainstream. No more phone mounts required because these devices connect via Bluetooth to the phone.

I think this is the future, hopefully close!...and actually the correct acronym should be HMD “Helmet mounted display” ☝️

See I have always enjoyed this idea however I'm not sure how practical it will be. As someone in the tech field I start out with what is the problem you are trying to solve . I'm not sure what problem this would solve for me and I think I would have issues with either device with my pinloc .

For me it solves the crime issue. With a phone mount there's a high potential of theft. These high end phones are not cheap and frankly no phone mount will stop them here from ripping it out, and cause the rider to drop the bike during the event.
That's my main interest in the HUD's. But I want one that fits inside the helmet and doesn't interfere with my 20/20 vision.

Presently I have a cheap Bluetooth headset and the phone stays in my pocket, must add it has improved my memory to remember the GPS directions without any visuals.

I've been paying attention to the market for these and the "smart helmet" systems as well. The thing I dislike is that it filters the data that the phone provides through their proprietary software, so you need to like what they are showing you, and how they show it to you, because it's not at all customizable.

What I am waiting for is a system that shows me my phone's interface in a HUD window, unmolested. I really believe, in the US anyway, that Google Maps is the single best navigation system going. The benefits are not just the turn-by-turn data, but also the map, map overlays and how the information is visually provided for the brain to consume without detracting from the road. The best these HUD systems can do is take the Google Maps direction and project a simple arrow in your line of sight.

What I think the future is, and what I am holding out for, is an augmented reality version of a HUD that projects all the data on the inside of the visor so that you get your "blue line" and upcoming turns projected over the actual road surface you're riding.

It's Italian. If I can get it to start, it'll win.
