@Miweber929 Hopefully insurance will cover it well, and it won’t affect your rates (much) because it wasn’t a moving accident...

What a bummer. Shít like that happens so easily when you least expect it. I hope the insurance works out ok.

I feel your pain brother.

Just after I got mine I was clearing out the shed when a drum lid fell on my tank. Just scratches, which I mainly polished out. It's hard to see, but I can see the bloody scratches and it annoys me no end.

I can only imagine how you feel...

I have the same problem from scratching the edge of my tank. There's a large drum lid between my stomach and the tank. That's causing the zipper from my jacket to goudge it up.

Huh.

Thanks, guys. Things are so different on a Duc forum, I’m used to the Japanese guys going “just leave it, it now has character” and things like that. Sorry but I like my bikes to loom as nice as they ride!!!

Insurance will cover, if the shop wasn’t such a mess I’d have the money already and the order placed but now I have to bring it in for them to take pictures and require what they already quoted from my pictures.

Now, my rates going up? Yeah, that’s going to be the real question. Never totaled a bike, and haven’t had a motorcycle claim in 20+ years, but I had a 50/50 parking lot fender bender with the truck this past winter. So far the truck hasn’t gone up, but we’ll see about the bike......

That's what happens when you ride a vanilla bike...
