So, I’m nearing the 18k Desmo service, say 3 weeks away.

I’m based in Rochester/Kent so looking for a garage to do this. I have Laguna Performance in Ashford, and there is a few independent Ducati specialists around (raypetty meccanica & Ducati Pro Team)

I rang Ducat Pro team as they are closest to me and I received a quote of £695 which I thought sounded pretty good, I haven’t received quotes from any other garages yet. Does this quote sound reasonable and has anyone used Ducati Pro team?

@Lukemc14 That sounds like it's in the ballpark based on my service from an independent shop. Their labor was reasonable and they did the labor costs for the complete 18k (including fork service) for what the dealer quoted for Desmo service only. He also installed a new chain for me.

However, my biggest "lesson learned" was the cost of parts. Since I was in a hurry for the service to leave for an upcoming trip, I told the shop to get the parts from the local dealer. I could've saved $100 ordering just the belts and sparkplugs elsewhere. And I didn't even bother with the air filter, I just asked them to clean it with compressed air. Thank goodness I ordered the chain in advance.

Obviously I can't comment regarding the shop in question,

Sounds pretty good to me. The Desmo service is a bit beyond me - and I know that when it comes to changing or selling your bike you'll gain from 'FDSH' the extra that you pay to use a main dealer - unless the independent is well recognised as a Ducati specialist.

They may have long service intervals now and be more reliable and better built than ever - but reputation of needing fastidious servicing lingers...

Well in the U.S. I had quotes from around $1300-2000 USD. So, what you were quoted sounds amazing. I did it myself because those prices are absurd and they also said "drop it off and we'll get to it someday."
