2017 vs. 2018

Can anyone confirm that 2018 models are entirely unchanged?

I have been excited to purchase an SSS since the April demo days, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I typically wait until the 2nd year so some of the kinks have been worked out (made a big difference with the diavel).

Dealers are starting to offer some end of year closeouts on the 2017 model years...debating whether or not I should jump on it or go with 2018.

Thanks!

We should definitely know something by mid November...
My understanding is that the current 2018 is totally unchanged.

I think they are already out. I've seen a few folks here post that they have them.

Apparently Ducati had a major backlog of delivering 2017 White S models and released a large group of of 2018's to "preferred" customers that had been waiting extra time. (p.s. this has been a bad year for motorcycle waitlists- I had a deposit on a KTM Duke 390 since February and got the call in September! Looks like a fun bike, but still plagued with issues post-release, giving up on it).

White SSS' were hard to come by in the DC area. They are still marked "unavailable" in the dealer systems. Feeding off the hype, I thought I wanted one too. Made the trip out of state to check out a white demo bike, really just don't like the look in person.
It is also my understanding that there are NO changes whatsoever.
I hope that the mirrors will change....
There is a rumour that the engine has had some tweaks and is now makes 174bhp at the rear wheel, the mirrors are rock solid and the rear shock has been repositioned along with better heat insulation.
Or that could just be wishful thinking.

I wasn't expecting any drastic changes. The mirrors look nice, it's a shame they don't work well.

Has anyone tried CRG bar ends with an LED?

Ducati Detroit says their dealer meeting for the 2018 models is in October. Then we'll know for sure what's new.
What I was told was teh SSs was so in demand that my dealership couldn't order 2017's any more. They started getting 2018's. They've been out for a few weeks now. Dealerships are now starting to move the 2017's cheaper and sell the demos. lol. I literally bought at the worst time... about 3 weeks ago. There is a SSs demo within 1 hour of me selling for 13,600 out the door. I paid 13,500 for my SS - standard (including $1k those dreaded delivery fees) but did get free panniers with it as the promotion... maybe it evened out...

Ah Ah Ah!!! Soft dream.
Sorry guys - mine is a 2018 S and nobody at the dealership knows of ANY difference from 2017.

They must be the people who get scared going too fast because as we know red is a faster colour, that's why they use it in WSB MotoGP BSB...........

This is what I'm seeing, too. My local dealer claims to have 2018 white SS-S and 2018 red SS in stock. Sadly, nobody near me has a red SS-S in stock. Can't decide if I should wait a week or two to see if a 2018 red SS-S shows up at the local shop or drive a couple of hours to one of the non-local dealers to get a 2017...

If you can get a good deal and the bike you want it's worth the journey, I traveled 130 miles to get mine. You can always get it serviced at your local dealer.
