A lot of skin showing.

Am I the only one with this much skin showing? My Ducati tech said that a n umber of Ducatis he's seen has the same issue with the handle pushed right up there.

Got it on mine too, but think its that much. Dont let it bother me much.
Mine's not like that and the others I have pictures of aren't the same.
It looks like your bar end may be loose and is slipping out. Try slackening the screw in the end and then push it back in and re-tighten.
This is mine... and I saw others to my dealer. I don't like it, I have to fix...

Mine too...
Mine's about the same. I keep meaning to take some measurements to see where the length discrepancy is between the two sides.
Same here. I was just looking at that wondering how to fix. Should we take it off and spray windex under it and reseat maybe?
There are punch marks for aligning the the grip and electrics. Can you see the punch marks on the round bar. If not then pull them back to the correct position. I would think this difference from left to right sides would put tension on your shoulders because you are sitting twisted on the bike.
hey shorty

The left Rubber grip is 5mm shorter than the twist grip on the right everything else measures the same left and right from the clipon risers ie bar ends

5mm doesn't seem like enough of a difference to make the gap as big as it looks.
Ok fellas I'm taking orders for a longer left grip...back in a min with website, haha...
Dang man! I was not noticing it before. Now that I've seen it - its nagging me to no end!

Mine is the same but it doesn't bother me. Bar end is fitted properly and grip is not loose - no problem!

Something is off then...

This is mine, not much of a gap at all.

I wonder if this is just a function of how the grip was put on the bar at the factory? One employee pushed harder than the other, or a different lube, or no lube but air, depending on the assembly station or factory shift. One method gets a grip stretched and fitted wide, and the other gets a grip that's compressed and narrow and leaves a gap.

This is the throttle side. I think OP is discussing the clutch side.

Mine is the same, I hadn't noticed. The odd thing is that if you measure to the grip, the left one is considerably nearer the bikes centre line, so in effect when your riding your hands are slightly offset. How odd?

Are you saying it's only on the left side?

Wait, are you saying that the whole assembly is off? From the bar riser out? :surprise:
When I ride I put my hands almost on handlebar caps... the same position even though the left grip is more in center. I don't feel uncomfortable, for me it's only an estetichal problem
