A ride on one?

6952 Views 28 Replies 13 Participants Last post by  steeve
I'm hoping to get a ride on a Supersport this Saturday. A local dealer is having a Ducati Roadshow, Ducati UK are taking a bunch of the new bikes (and others) around most of the UK dealers over the next few months. The sales director did say there was a Superpsort in amongst them.
So I hope it's not raining!

Ah the joys of living in the UK!! I hope this happens for you Steeve. Looking forward to your ride results.
I hope you get to ride one. Be interesting to read a real world report from you as opposed to the ones we get from the magazine reporters.
I'm in Florida and my dealer will have one on display April 15th. It might be wishful thinking on my part but I think he said I could ride it.
That is freaking amazing. Are you able to take a gopro or something of the sort with you to record the ride?

Perfect.. the more members to test, the more direct feedback we can get especially on the nit-picky things reviewers tend to skimp out on
I hope you have great weather and traffic free roads to really get a good feel for the bike. Then tell us all about it so we can curse you under our breath out of jealousy. :)

I should have had my bike a while by then.....
This is a cruel crowd ...

Ha! I'll race ya... ;)
The weather forecast for Saturday is currently pretty rubbish. I'll keep my fingers crossed. But my own dealer has just told me they get their demo bike on Monday, next week.
He's going to let me know when its prepared and ready to go.

I hate when weekends have terrible riding weather but during the week is okay... It gets depressing.
I ve a test ride on a red s with standard exhaust on 24th.

I 'l try alone and with my partner who appreciate confort seat in static.
We must be getting close! I signed up. I'm itching to ride one to clinch the deal.
I did a test ride alone on a red S this afternoon with cloudy weather, a lot of wind, on wet road, highway and city.
The bike is easy, confortable, i m 5,9" 1,75m 63kg.
The bike is very steady with efficient olhins shock and fork.
The front brake is enough strong and fork do not sink.
power get out from 3500 to over, the gears are too long to me, perharps it would be better with a smaller sprocket. motor is not explosive like my actual monster 1100 s evo.
My dealer tested in Sardinia a standard model with 3000km and the motor was better.
The sound of exhaust is pleasant similar to a monster 821 .
The shifter up and down is very funny and soft, it s new for me.
Fairing protect correctly my legs but the windshield in high position is not efficient , i ordered the dark longer windshield accessory .

After, I tried the bike with my partner, she has a confortable position , but she need passenger handles. To her, the seat is little hard for a long ride.

It s a good bike and i love it !!

Thanks for taking those. There certainly isnt much room in there for anything.

No room between subframe rails, but it appears there is space between the rails and the bodywork, just like there was on my '99 900SS. I used to stuff my rain suit there.
