Any feedback from the Pillion class?

I will keep the standard seat for solo riding, but will need to address the passenger compartment with a second seat for touring. My wife is compact, so can sit on the standard seat, but would like to feel secure (seat angle) and comfy over a day's ride.

Neither Sargent or Corbin seems to have seen one of these bikes yet, but I have very good upholsterer locally. I plan to order a comfort seat, and if necessary have him modify it.

Any reports from the back seat yet?

Went for a test with my preferred pillion. She thought the seat was way too hard. She tried the "comfort" seat in the showroom and thought it was better, but we didn't actually try it on the road. Nothing for her to hang onto so I will also be ordering the passenger grips when I finally order one of these bikes.

For me, having her on the back was no problem. The torquey motor and strong brakes were unaffected. Considering the relatively narrow bars I found the handling no problem with the extra weight, even at low speed.

We will only be doing short coffee rides together and I feel that, for a pillion, that's about right on an SS.

Thanks. Let us know how she likes the 'comfort' seat on the road if you could. The grips sound mandatory for my passenger.
Just FYI...there are hand holds already on the bike. Not necessarily grips, but cutouts to use if needed. Just in case you weren't aware.

My +1 tried these and fount it was way too low under the seat.

Anyway she prefer to wrap on me...

My wife can't tell the difference between comfort and standard
She ready for a break after an hour no matter what seat we use
I'm hoping Sargent bring out a module seat

Ya, saw those. She reckoned they were too low for her.

An hour will usually be our max, so ok then.
My favorite passenger found the difference between std & comfort seat in 2 minutes... she found the std one too 'hard', the comfort seat seams to be Ok. However, she preferred the old ST3 when it comes to comfort. The passenger handles position is not perfect, she prefers to have it on the back.

Thanks. Yeah the ST2's Sargent seat is gonna be hard to beat for my wife, but I have ordered the Comfort Seat and if necessary will have my upholsterer modify the passenger area to get it closer to the Sargent's.
