Arrived In Las Vegas! Woohoo!

I picked up my Supersport S in Las Vegas last Friday, June 30th. What a great bike. So far, I've put about 200 miles on it on two rides and have loved every minute of it. As
everyone knows, the mirrors are super vibby. I call them my Minecraft mirrors because everything behind you buzzes so much it looks like a scene from Minecraft.

No real seat heat for me, but my right foot by the exhaust gets pretty **** hot and that is even with my Dianese Course boots. Then again,
it was 108 degrees out so everything was pretty hot and I was in full leathers. To combat the heat, I did a trip up to Mt. Charleston and Lee Canyon where we have a few curvy
roads, but the real benefit is that it was only 77 degrees up there. The Supersport handles very nice and is very flickable and the seat is very comfortable too. I upgraded the head lights and removed all the stickers.
A new tail tidy is next.

Congrats on the pick up. LOVE the mountain scenery in the background.
If the heats not a problem for you in Vegas, im sure Cali will be just fine!

The heat's not a problem in Melbourne at the moment - It's a heart-stopping 6 degrees C at present. Thank the lord for the heater under the seat!!:grin2:

In the second pic, if you look to the right of my windscreen you can see a wild horse. There were 5 of them in the field grazing on grass.
Nice, love riding the Wild West!

One of the first things I did too was to remove those (ugly) stickers. ;)
Which stickers you're speaking about ?
I assume he means the silver stickers on the red trellis frame.
Welcome at the forum.

I always thought Vegas is surrounded only by dessert. Nice to see you have some forrest as well :)

Yes, we are surrounded by desert pretty much everywhere, except these mountains. They are only a 45 min ride from Las Vegas and give some relief from the heat in summer, hiking in the spring/fall and you
can ski/snowboard in the winter. One of the few areas with any curvy roads too. Glad they are close by.

All of the silver stickers on the trellis frame. I took the advice of someone on the forum and stuck them inside of my owner's manual on the empty pages.

I'm not sure that we can't put off these stickers in France. Some of these are identifying the bike (serial number etc.) and one having the sound level (DBs / rpm) has to be there. I'll have a look.
We are not supposed to either, but here in the US, most of us do anyway. There are certain states (looking at you California) that are much more stringent about the stickers, but for the most part, Law Enforcement doesn't bother us about it...probably didn't even know they were ever there to begin with, TBH.

But I think we have only one small of that, don't we ?
Compared to the multiple big stickers I saw on some others coutries bike.

I already forgot the look of my SS :'(
Can't wait to be tomorrow and discover it all over again :)

I understand, it's difficult to be separated of such a beauty !
I don't have it today, leave it for the 1000km service (well 1600 in fact), and it's already difficult !

For the stickers, I can't check today, but I think there are more than the 'standard' legal one.
And in our french case, we have 2 others to add : insurance & air quality 'critair' , I had difficulties to find a room for these 2.

I greatly appreciate all the good routes in the Las Vegas area and a climate that allows riding all year. Last Saturday we rode to Death Valley as part of a 300 mi ride.
