Two little Essex w*nkers tried stealing my bike when I was visiting a client today. They couldn't get the disc lock off but managed to destroy my front disc, damage my front wheel and wreck my ignition and steering lock.

Awful reading this. Glad they were not able to take the bike and hopefully your insurance policy will cover the damages they caused. Let's face it...a motorcycle with 'Ducati' on the tank and looking the way the Supersport does, it's a prime target for the lowlifes of the world.
This is getting out of hand
And it appears the Government are quite happy to let it carry on
They need to reduce their obsession with mobile speed vans
And divert the cash in catching real criminals
Oh but wait that doesn't bring in revenue.

I feel your pain mate
Yes I'm sure the insurance will cover it
I hope you have protected no claims .
My no claims isn't protected so no point in claiming. At least £1000+ worth of damage. The police weren't even interested.
Sorry to hear that. Glad that you still have your bike. I was recently targeted, couple dents on the ignition port and a screw missing from the cover over it.
They've completely wrecked the ignition - can't get the key in

Thats weird. The slot looks fine for your key to work. Mine has similar dents, probably from screwdriver, on the surface plate, but my key works fine.
They've sheared the screws on the mounts and cracked one of the mounts where it joins the frame - the lock is crooked so no space to get a key in

Unbelievable would be a different story if you had caught them
And giving them a slap
They be straight round telling you you can't take the law into your own hands

Hope you get it sorted soon mate

Guess it's to early to phone around the breakers see if they have any parts?
Sorry to hear about your bike, there are some sh#t heads around. Not surprised that the police aren't interested, if the scumbags are under 18 they wouldn't even get a slap on the wrists. It's no wonder people take the law into there own hands. Hopefully if they try it again they will get caught and suffer some street justice (not that I'm advocating that you understand), maybe a Harley owned by an Angel they know how to thank people for messing with there bikes.

On the bright side your security prevented them from having it. Outcome is annoying but it was still there. In the first week the SS was released globally there were 4 SS stolen. It's a much wanted bike.
BTW, get yourself a tracker with vibration alert, stop messing with disc locks. My trackers response time to my phone app is around 2 seconds. I am waiting to measure the thiefs reaction time when I pop my glock 19 up his arse.

So sorry R D that you have to go through this...
sorry about the bad news. hopefully it won't be in vain. maybe they'll skip the next super sport they see since they weren't able to snag this one.
I'm very sorry! :frown2:
How long you was far from your bike? They haven't broken the disk lock? And this model have an alarm, right? You or someone seen them and then they ran away?
Sad news, there's plenty of scum about these days. Mostly kids but typical response from the old bill. Make them give you a crime number, that way at least it gets added to the crime numbers.

The Bill

This is the bill for the damage that the little pr**ks did to my bike. A good chunk of this was caused by breaking the steering lock, which damaged the steering yoke, as well as cracked the ignition mounts on the frame.

From now on I will be avoiding using the steering lock - it provides no protection and causes more damage.

Man, that is terrible! Did insurance help with any of it? That's almost half the cost of the bike...or did I read that wrong?
It's about a third of the cost. So yep - bye bye no claims bonus
