Hello everyone!

I am not sure if I am posting this review in the right forum section, but here it is. I did quite a bit of research trying to find the best phone/cam mounting solution.

My requirements were quite simple:
- It must be neat, look nice and clean.
- It must be very sturdy, because we all know that this bike vibrates like a beast and I don't want my phone flying off the bike every now and then.
- It must be easy to mount/unmount my phone without having to carry any additional tools on me.

This is what I ended up with:
- Action cam mount from ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/142753454484 (found in one of the phone mount forum threads here).
- SPConnect phone case: www.sp-connect.com. Note: they have cases for all types of phones. I bought the "Phone case set" (https://sp-connect.com/collections/iphone-8/products/phone-case-set?variant=52452998741), which includes both portrait and landscape action cam mounts as well as a bunch of other adapters including an adhesive one that you could put in your car for example.
- Optionally, if you don't like the black action cam mount adapter, you can get these red aluminum ones like I did: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075342245 (mount adapter) and https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01I2LQQW4 (matching thumb screws and wrench).

I am very satisfied with the quality of these parts and the final mounting solution, which seems to be very sturdy and super easy to mount/unmount my phone. I don't have a camera yet, but I will probably get a GoPro sometime in the future and it will be very easy to mount it as well.

Additionally, here's what I did to power up this setup:
- SAE to USB adapter for the left side SAE connection: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00W2Z04ZW
- 2ft iPhone cable: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074H4RY7G
- Adhesive cable clips to attach these wires to the inner side of the left fairing: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01I6P20TE

Hope this helps to save you some time if you are looking for a decent mounting solution.

Thanks for sharing! What size iPhone do you have? What's your solution for waterproofing the phone?
I have regular iPhone 8 (not Plus). If you have iPhone Plus, then you might actually have a problem with this mounting solution due to the front brake fluid reservoir hitting your phone when handlebars fully rotated to the left.

I didn't go for a waterproof case, because iPhone 8 is supposedly waterproof. If you want your mount to be fully waterproof, you will need to go with something like this: https://www.amazon.com/ProShot-Waterproof-GoPro-Mountable-iPhone/dp/B01MZD8XHB

Thanks guys...

Also, if you’re using the Full Version of the Forum, scroll to the bottom to find “Similar Threads” with many other options.

Or, just do a Search for “Phone Mounts.”

Yep. iPhone 8 plus (which is great for me). I just could trust the claimed waterproofing enough to go naked. But then we have tropical rains. Like someone throwing a billion marbles at you.

Thanks for the info!

Looking at the ebay site, it looks like you can choose polished or matte carbon plate, which one is shown in your photo?
Hmm, I am pretty sure, when I ordered it, there was no choice between polished and matte, so I honestly have no idea what kind I got.

I think we ordered the last two. If you click on the link now, it takes you to the Panigale page.
Here's a link to a new relisted mount for Supersport: https://www.ebay.com/itm/DUCATI-939-SUPERSPORT-2017-Camera-Phone-mount-Gopro-action-cam-CARBON-FIBER/142878979151

These eBay links are bound to expire sooner or later, so the only way to find the correct relisted item is really to just click on the seller's name and see all their items for sale. This particular seller has only a few items for sale and they are all carbon action cam mounts for Ducatis.

I have this on my bike along with the MOB Armor mount and use to hold my Samsung phone. Perfect fit and location and very happy with the final outcome.

I take it there's not really a way to mount your phone in "landscape" mode with this?
Curious as to why you would want landscape. I was thrilled to find my mount worked in portrait!

I think the best way to get landscape would be the bar end mount so it pivots with the bar. Anything locked solid would probably hit eventually.

SPConnect phone mount set includes both portrait and landscape mount adapters as I mentioned in my original post:

I would usually use portrait but landscape is nice for logging. I've been logging air/fuels while I drive as I've been running a custom map with the Rapid Bike Evo.

Sorry I skimmed through as I had read the post before but it was awhile ago. I actually just want to buy the ignition piece as I have an SP Gadgets phone holder already. It's different than the one you link to but would work to hold the phone on portrait. I use it on my handlebar end but I do think the ignition mount is cleaner
