I was wondering why. My headset is bluetooth and connects with my phone, GPS, and the wife on her bike. Why would you need another module on the bike? What functionality does it add?
The manual states the module is a bluetooth hub. Not sure what that means as my seena does every thing FredinFrance mentioned above.
I would imagine its for music so you can use the dash to change tracks, etc. Does anyone listen to music when they ride? I'd worry about being distracted.
I'll let you know as soon as I get my S.
Ordered the bluetooth module to control music and phone calls
The Sena intercom also does music, but I don't like riding with music. The Sena also allows you to change tracks and control phone calls. Let us know what else it does when you get it.

It acts as the control module between your phone and helmet and allows you to fully control phone apps via the controls on the bike, instead of trying to use the face of the phone while riding. While the SENA is great, I think, in theory, this would be a better/safer option...if you choose to use your phone while riding.

I'm old school and the only thing I like to listen to is the engine. I use a motorcycle as an escape, so I don't want electronic interference in that quest. Also, my issue is that I listen to rock and metal music. In the past and on the rare occasion when I listened to those genres, I subconsciously started to ride faster and faster as the song picks up...:grin2:. Could lead to bad things.

And under no circumstances do I take phone calls while riding. I prefer to have my wits about me. I know that when I'm driving my vehicle, sometimes miles and miles will have passed and I won't remember details of it. Scary when riding a motorcycle. But others do regularly, its just not my thing. Others also have a few drinks then get on a bike ...but that's a whole 'nuther conversation.

I also have the SENA and While I occasionally listen to music, I like that I can take a call while riding. I dont have to touch my phone because I have the Sena Handlebar remote that lets me control the volume, answer calls and skip tracks.

I also didnt see the value in getting the Ducat BT module as the Sena had better functionality and a lower price.
How much is the bluetooth module? I'm moderately curious about this option, if only for perhaps turn-by-turn directions; but totally agree with @se7en that electronic distractions like these are not a good idea on a motorcycle.

I think Ducati charges you for just thinking about getting something.

Once again I don't understand the Ducati part. You are going to have to put the intercom into your helmet for the turn by turn instructions, and that intercom will get them directly from the GPS, so what part does the Ducati module play?
For me its two reason why I ordered the Bluetooth module
Even though my Interphone intercom give me both music and phone control I like the idea of controlling everything from the handlebar. And also see the track playing.
But most important, when I ride I normally will not take a call when I am riding. But since my job sometimes need me to be available its nice to see on the display if its work related and if I need to take it or not :)

So it does show caller I'd ?
That's good to know
I'm in the same boat I'm on call some weeks so need to take calls or pull over when convenient.
If it shows caller I'd that's worth the £250 to me

The Ducati module would allow you to make adjustments to your GPS using the bike controls instead of using the GPS's own controls. It basically allows you to keep your hands on the bike at all times.
Has anyone installed this yet? I'm curious as to if it just shows an actually incoming number or will it show something like "Bob S. - cell" or something similar to what's listed in your cellphone contacts because if it's just the whole number, i doubt a lot of people are going to recognize everyone's contact numbers in their phone.

I'd like to know this too. I mean, ill probably mount my phone but If I can see on the bike display itself, that would be great.
Ok, have connected my Galaxly s7 and Intermot F5MC to the Bluetooth module.
I like the music control. It displays the track name and I can adjust volume and skip to next track with my hands still on handlebar.

But for some reason, when I recieve a phone call it just displays "Call"
I am not sure why yet, and from what I read in the manual it should be able to display name as long as my phone supports "Pbap". And I THINK mine does.

How hard was it to install? Where does it go? I'm really interested in controlling gps/calls/music from the handlebars.
