Check engine light

Thought I would share with you a minor issue I encountered after only 35 miles of riding on my SuperSport. The check engine light remained lit after starting the bike and I eventually called the local dealer. They advised calling Ducati Assistance to collect the bike and return the bike to the dealer. The recovery is another story for another day and topic heading!

The dealer identified some exhaust switch valve the bike goes though at start up which is a manual check involving a cable being pulled and pushed🤔 (I'm not too technically minded) but the switch was replaced and the bike delivered back to my door. All is going well with 557 miles on the clock and the first service almost due.

I think this has happened in here before. Are you referring to the butterfly valve in the exhaust.
I was just about to mention the butterfly valve...
Yes, that was the issue
Had exact same problem this week, also after just 35 miles. Valve position error. Dealer replaced the valve motor. Probably a faulty batch.

Wow, that sucks. After only 35 miles....
My engine light is on, how many KMs do you think is safe to do? It seems running smoothly. Don't understand the issue..if I continue running for a few days can it get worse?
Anytime the check engine light is illuminated, proceed immediately to the nearest dealer for diagnostics. It's the only safe thing to do!
