I know our pals across the pond are lucky enough to have taken delivery of some SuperSports. I remain curious about US delivery--can you post when you take delivery in the US and where you are?

Thanks!

We should start to see some action here in the US any day now. Info seems to be consistent among everyone - all dealers got a demo or two for a launch event on the 14th and 15th, and the first round of pre-orders are supposed to be right behind those. Looks like a bunch of us did in fact see the demos this weekend. With shipments arriving at port in New Jersey, my hope is that you'll start hearing from those of us on the East Coast first. The first white 'S' to arrive here in Boston has my name on it, and I'll be certain to share details when that happens.
I'm in London am still waiting. Originally was supposed to be the 20th, now the dealer says 26th.
I rode a demo model in Coventry (UK) a week ago and the bike ordered will be here on Thursday. :grin2:

I live in NJ and my dealer told me that we should see the bikes next week!

skr9 - I was in Boston this weekend for the marathon and I went over to the dealer in Medford. No test ride but I did get to sit on the bike. Based upon the numerous rider reports and my own feelings from sitting on the bike, I have made the right decision. We had the pleasure of talking to the owner, Carlo. Super nice guy, who at 70 years young still takes his Panigale to track days. We met a sales guy named Chris, I believe, who knows you by name. All in all , a good dealer that knows its customers and how to treat them.

I feel much the same - in that this was a good decision.
Yes - Carlo is a very nice, and interesting, guy. And yes - Chris is my salesguy, and will probably be super happy when I get the bike so that I stop bugging him.
Highly recommend this dealership for anyone in this area - great service and staff for sure.

Thanks for info that bikes may arrive next week - fingers crossed here!

What specifically is being unboxed? Did you order a base SuperSport or SuperSport S? And what color?

Did dealer volunteer the info, or did you have to bug them for it? Does this just mean the bike has been built, or does this confirm it was sent to port, or has shipped? Just curious as to what the VIN translates for status.

I sent an email to my dealer to let me know when he has a VIN, after I had done my demo, so that I could shop around for insurance. He said the 'your bike is on route'. What I dont know if whether its at the port or its on water? I would say it still its registered in the US cos when I used the VIN for insurance quotes, it wasnt in the system. So its still to reach the ports, maybe? Or sitting at the port for processing?

Red S, because everybody knows red is faster.

The insurance company had problems with my VIN today. They placed insurance on the bike for replacement value only based on MSRP. They stated once its in the system they will review it and give me the better price.
