Ducati Maintenance

Having never owned a Ducati before, how difficult are these bikes to work on? For example, do you need to be a rocket scientist to adjust the chain, or do you just give up and take it back to the shop? I've skimmed through the online owners manual and it doesn't seem to give any instructions on how to do it.
And also...why's this forum named Supersport 939? Isn't the Supersport a 937?

All the generic stuff is normal. If you can adjust the chain on a Honda, you can on a Ducati. The only things that are different are the valves and the cambelts. And those are a little fiddly and have to be looked at more often than on most brands, but they really aren't a very big deal.

For whatever reasons, Ducati model numbers usually don't match up exactly with the engine CCs. My M900 (or a 900SS) is 904cc. The M796 was 803cc. And so on.

[Why are you named Bad?[Bad Alice is a stupid nic name I gave to my wife years ago. Her name's not even Alice. Just one of those drunken moments that stuck]]

And why don't my quote's look like everyone else's? I can't get that highlight thing working or whatever!
