Ducati Questionnaire

I've just received a comprehensive questionnaire from Ducati for the bike. It has come from Ducati in Italy and I assume it has been sent to all owners world wide. Make sure you complain about the mirrors. Most of my answers were 10 (out of 10).

I've heard of these, but I've not received one. So, I guess, not everyone gets the questionnaire.

I want one, though...

This was the email from Ducati containing the questionnaire.
Was it sent via email or paper form?

Hmmmm...havent got this yet either
Make sure you complain about the mirrors.
Why would I do that? There is nothing wrong with my mirrors. Perhaps it is the way I ran the bike in.
I've received this questionnaire, with a 'Ducati member card'... and a letter from Ducati CEO saying 'blah blah blah'...
Questionnaire is on their website, it's questions about the shop & the dealer, not about the bike.
If I remember correctly I first received the email asking to fulfill the questionnaire, then I received the letter with the membership card.
I have received two. One a few months ago was mostly about the ducati service and one last month was about the bike, design and accessories clothing etc. I was amped about the fairing and warranty claim and went to town on it in the last questionnaire. The first one included the mirrors.
If anyone gets a questioner (and agrees with me) can they please mention that we nee a decent rear and front hugger. took my bike to work today and it had rained slightly overnight road only seemed damp and Holly **** the bike was covered in road crap, on the cowling, all over the shocks up the sides, on the back of my leather jacket even flew up off the front wheel up through the handlebars and on the tank. Come on this should not happen. I had to wash the bike before I started work. I don't even have a tail tidy yet.

Yes, it's the one about the bike and accessories etc.

You should let us all into your secret how you ran your bike in.

No way, I was asked that question on here before and then got verbal abuse from a pair of "know-it-alls". I try to avoid saying anything these days and hardly ever look in here.
My mirrors are absolutely fine on my bike.

Hey Fred I've heard you say that your mirrors are fine befor and I just put it down to you were fine with your mirrors the way they are. I've also heard people say there left is ok and the right is bad. Both mine are not fit for purpose. For e.g. I can't tell how close or far the object is behind me or if it is getting closer or farther, things I use as safety checks when I ride, of course I use head checks when I change lanes. If your mirrors work correctly then I want my mirrors to work correctly too. I don't have any interest in your run in techniques but I am interested to know if your mirrors are better than mine and if I would find them acceptable.

My mirrors are not great, but are acceptable...barely. The right is easily better than the left. In the right, I can tell a car from a van and judge distance fairly well. On the left, though, it's half as clear. I can tell that there is a mass of something there, but couldn't tell you what that is exactly. I can't tell you make or model of the vehicle behind me nor can I tell you if it's a LEO while looking through either side, either. Judging by some of the comments on other threads, I count myself as lucky. I simply can't imagine that Fred's are better than mine or anyone else's. Maybe his tolerance is simply higher than others.
The mirror is permanently moulded into the enclosure, if anyone's mirrors are 'okay' then they likely got a faulty enclosure mould since the majority have buzzing mirrors. To take the mirror out of its enclosure means breaking the plastic. So I have been told by the ducati service centre when we were looking for a solution in the early days when only a few (globally) had the bike.

Mine are not perfect, but I'm used to now. I can tell you that yesterday morning a UFO was behind me for 2 kms. Yesterday night after a drink I had Rihanna in a Toyota van behind me... but I'm unsure... maybe a Nissan... :)

You sure she wasn't on a Ducati ;)

Just hope it wasn't anything better than the Duc's we ride haha
I'm sure Fred's mirrors are 10,000% perfect....! I also imagine his head is bouncing and wobbling around at the perfect amount that vision from mirrors are perfectly timed and vision is perfect... it's not about how he ran his bike in it's about how he runs his head...

(Woof woof Rottweiler's alert)
P.s I believe you Fred...:x
