Captain’s log Star date 20220714 - Life at times can be tough in Intergalactic Space, and so the thought occurred to me to get flowers for my significant other. Only thing is the Enterprise is not properly configured to carry flowers. And the result was an argument between Spock and Bones…
Spock indicated according to his calculations it was high risk to carry flowers on the Enterprise - a 40% chance of failure getting the flowers home without them self-destructing or losing them in space, so he cautioned against proceeding.
Bones on the other hand, got visible angry at Spock, and said dammit Spock, why do you always have to be so logical; where’s the human element? 40% chance of failure means there’s a 60% chance of success! And if this is even remotely possible, it’s certainly worth a try!
So I called Scotty to engineer a solution! And he came up with this complicated approach where half the flowers were in the special cargo compartment (aka Kriega back pack) and a half were sticking out into space. And I said to Scotty I see how Spock came up with those calculations, this is risky! And Scotty said yeah, but I think it’ll work so long as you keep the Enterprise below Warp Speed. So I decided to side with Bones again, this time.
And so I did keep it below Warp Speed…
And we made it!
And she was very happy!
