Only done 500 dry miles on my supersport s.The amount of dirt and debris flung up by the front tyre accumulates directly where the servo motor cable enters the front underside exhaust housing.I removed this via the 3 small bolts and thoroughly cleaned the spring mechanism and lubed the cable. No wonder these things sieze in no time.I shall do this regularly. Also the cable retaining nut had worked loose.....Whether this helps in the long term remains to be seen!

Third screw at bottom not shown. Carefully remove all three, as they are prone to break.

Exhaust valve and cable connection point now exposed.

Move valve by hand to ensure it’s freed up. Clean and lube with silicone spray.

Replace cover and screws.

I sprayed mine with WD40 gel.
Sure, should help too; lots of alternatives, all better than none!

As long as it keeps the cable and valve staying unstuck! Mine’s 3 years old and, ssshhhhh, no problems....

I chose silicone in the hope it might be a little more water resistant...but various lubricants could be used, sparingly.

I attempted preventative lubrication on this but the third screw would have taken extraordinary measures to extract. So far, no issues. Fingers crossed.
