Nice mods .

Could you describe your feeling with sterring damper before and after ?
Was there something wrong with you bike that needed a steering damper? Mine is rock solid at the front and I doubt if it needs one.
I'll have to agree with Fred on this one. Mine is a rock as well.

BUT, I like the looks of it, for sure!!!
How hard was the damper installation? I was thinking about one after getting a slight shake at speed.
after riding a Monster S2R 800 for years, the SS feels like it has a damper built in. Does it really make a difference to the feel of the bike?
I bought my first Duc in 2008...Started Track days in 2009 and first amateur race in 2011...

The only place I really found a need for a SD is on my dual sport and on the track, bumpy tracks mostly...

It's on the SS S because I want it, like it and can have it...that's it really...

As for the feel of it, I only have 130 miles on the SS S...

Thx

Not too bad, but I had done it before on my 848...The trickiest part was the removal of the 2 bolts for the ignition mount and installing the two new ones that comes in a kit...trying to get that in there without scratching anything...Hand tight it and then as you tighten the top nut it will tighten it self to the bike...sorry hard to explain...

When I converted my touring bike from chain to belt drive, people asked 'why do it'. My response was simple 'Because I can' >:)

I must admit I would like a steering damper, but only for cosmetic reasons as my bike definitely doesn't need one. But for now I have other things I need to spend my money on, so I'll wait a while. It was said that Ducati were going to bring out a kit. Suppose that'll be an arm and leg too!
Still waiting for my heated grips.

The combination of the SD and fuel cap looks pretty [email protected] cool.
