Frame Plugs

So I took off the passenger pegs. I'm never going two-up and I just never liked the way they looked. Looks very sleek without them. Anyway, does anyone know where to get frame plugs for the four mounting insets left in the rear sub-frame? I've found plenty of frame plugs, but none for the SSS - at least for those four spots. Any help would be massively appreciated!!

You only need two plugs, the other two are hidden by the fairing and you might not get plugs in there. Try italo-shop.

I went to an auto parts store and paid 80 cents each for black plastic plugs.

Nope - I need 4 - 2 for each side. The fairing is in the front and these are the passenger pegs. They bolt onto the rear subframe via bracket on both sides. I'll check out the link tho. Thanks.

Thanks dude, but if there are CNC machined plugs out there I'm gonna go with those. Makes me faster. :wink2:

This!
I am thinking about doing the same thing. This is going to sound pessimistic but I got to thinking how the pillion foot pegs would help to protect the bike during a crash...so now I'm not sure about the mod... :)

I haven't removed the pegs and installed these yet, but another member has...

The reason why I'm not thinking about it
I'd rather focus on not falling off. Should it happen then insurance will cover it.

I''m with you. When i got my motard, i was thinking about pulling my rear pegs, but my coworker was all,"its extra protection in a crash." he was right, it saved me at least $1000 after i laid her down. My brand new SSS is financed, so i have to have full coverage, so, she looks a lot better with no pegs and the new rage tail tidy.

About the plugs, wish i knew what size, but he just pulled them out of a drawer. Guy at the parts store said, dont ruin those, and if they dont fit, i can take them back. Those guys in the store are cool, ive walked out of there at least five times with the,"come back and pay for it later" because i only wanted like $4 worth of stuff. I always pay, eventually, and that treatment is why i go back.

those are nice. I'm not sure where i saw it, but i remember seeing a similar product that had hooks/loops so that it could be used as a rear tie down point when putting the bike on a trailer. i can't remember if it was for the Supersport or a different ducati.

this was the one i was thinking about.

Tie-Down Hook for Ducati Monster 1200R '16-

listed for a monster 1200, but the website shows is as compatible with the supersport.
