Future Supersport S Owner

I currently own a 2015 Hyperstrada, and owned a Monster796 before that. I love the Hyper, but the new Supersport is truly the bike I wished Ducati offered when I bought the Hyper. As soon as the S model hits my local dealers showroom floor, I'll be there to find out if the he newest Duc is everything it's being made out to be. I hope it is!

Welcome to the forums. Do you plan on getting rid of the Hyperstrada for the SS or will you be keeping both?
Welcome, I hope the bike suits you...........

I plan to trade in the Hyper. Not sure what it'll be worth, since it's been removed from the Ducati lineup with the release of the Multi 950. I see new 2016's selling for 10 grand in southern California, so I'm not expecting to get much of an offer with my 2015 with 6,000 miles on it.
Its funny...I was actually looking at the Hyper as my next bike. The last 2 springs I was so very close to pulling the trigger. I was torn between the Hyper and the VFR. When the US didnt a "new" VFR last year I paused with my search and eventually I just said "wait for next year" Once the SS was announced in the Fall, I was intrigued. Ironically, the more that I heard about the SS the less attractive the Hyper became. I dont want to say its an ugly bike but comapared to the SS..............

Call me a hater but the hypermotards remind me too much of KTM's, supersports fit the image in my head when I think about Ducati, and I think most people have the same outlook.

The small number of hyper's I see out their might correlate with this too.
The reason I didn't buy a Duc four years ago was the ugly duck-billed snout. The Panigale, though beautiful, was just too agressive a riding position for me. This is exactly what I wanted from Ducati. I am trying to wait patiently for the day it arrives. It is probably a good thing that we just got some more snow. It is easier to be patient when it is 12 degrees F outside.

I admit, the Hyper is definitely not the greatest looking bike of all time, but I like the way it looks. It's a fun bike to ride, and if the Supersport never came along, I'd be perfectly happy with it. The Supersport just happens to be the Duc I wanted two years ago when I decided to buy the Hyperstrada.
The snow really did humble the anxiety down quite a bit... that hit like a surprise.

But the hyperstrada doesn't have a look that's for everyone, but it's very distinct I find. It's an eye catcher for sure.
I bet if we were to look at sales numbers for the hyper it would show the same thing since correlations like that always happens. Plus with guys like us on the front lines seeing everything unfold, what we see with our own eyes holds some weight
I keep watching the same reviews over and over again. Or going back to the specs on the Diavel Diesel, which I'm also getting whenever that one arrives this summer.

Now that is a good problem to have!! I love the Diavel, already told the wife that when the last of our 3, graduates college that we are getting the Diavel to cruise around. He is a sophomore, so only 2 more years to go!!
