Welcome. Do you have a timeframe for purchase, or still just researching?

Thank you for the warm welcomes, folks.

Currently on a Multi Enduro for the street, and Hyper 939 SP for track duty.
Small garage, don't ride often... feeling I should consolidate to one bike for simplicity.

Multi E is awesome. Hyper is amazing fun. Melt them into one bike??

Also considering the M1200R, that has the power/torque I like for sure.
Rode one on the track, lotsa fun. Don't know how it'd be for a 300-400 mile day in the twisties, though.

I had a '92 SS... my first Duc. Sweet memories, except the U-turns.
The new SS looks good.

I'd be ecstatic if there was a 1200 version, especially with extra goodies like HID lamps and electronics like the Multi.
I guess we'll see in November at EICMA.

In the meantime, I'm seeing what this current one is all about.
Might be sampling one at the track in a couple of days.
I'll post back.

Welcome !!

939 ss is more comfortable than old ss (i've had a 1000 ss ie)
1200r is power but you've not protection, i tried it and hesitated like you
939 ss is not a real touring bike but you can do 185km /200miles without pains on back.

Personally i used my 939 ss every day in city traffic , for short days trips with my partner, and alone for sport rides in my area with lot of curves.

Now Try it and compare !!
