Hello from Southern Maryland

Hello all!! I hail from Southern MD, which for normal people is probably best described as, "Bout an hour south of Washington D.C."

I got my Red SS from Coleman PowerSports in Falls Church, VA.

So far I have replaced the levers (short front/normal clutch) with some black/red Pazzo's, and upgraded the bulbs to Sylvania H11 SilverStar zXe Halogen to better match the DRL. Ordered the Motodynamics integrated stop/turn kit to try and tidy up the tail, but don't like how the wires are exposed when you remove the stock monstrosity. So eagerly awaiting some movement on that front.

Well I feel I've rambled enough, nice to "meet" you all!! Ride Safe!!

Welcome to the fold and congrats on the bike. Hang in there with the tail tidy's. Hopefully, we'll have the Motodynamics version soon. Im waiting for it, too.

Welcome to the forum!

I am also waiting on the motordynamic tidy and have been in communication with the company. Like se7en said, they will have a solution soon.

I was also thinking of getting the light in advance of the total tidy kit. Can you share any pics of how it looks with the plate removed and the wires exposed?

There are some conversations in the tail tidy thread about guys making their own plates.

Hugg, I didn't take any pictures when I had it off. But for an good idea of what it looks like if you look at jcnaranjo51's picture (post 20) of his lady and check out her undertail (the BIKE's that is!!) you can see what the exposed wires look like.

It is not horrible, and they are not hanging out or anything, BUT there is an opening into the undertail that I didn't feel comfortable leaving exposed. I imagine that you could easily cover this up with electrical tape or something but just seemed like it would look cheap under scrutiny. However the actual light and turn-signals looked great, and I loved the blink feature for when you stop.

I did consider cutting out some plywood and painting it black... but I figure I can just deal til the kit comes

Hopefully this helps!

I noticed that as well...AND I think that is what Motodynamics has went back to redo. Fix it where the wires are totally hidden and the entire hole is covered.
