Hello,
Having had many bikes in 42 years and owning a 2022 KTM 1290 SAS, which my wife and I love, I had been looking for a Ducati for some time. I used this site to work out that the Supersport was the one I should aim for. My heart wanted the Panigali but my head said that I would be in pain very quickly.
The roads around here are not great and I did not fancy the bill from the chiropractor.
So three weeks ago I found this beauty. Full service history and less than 6k miles.
I have spent the past weeks cleaning and replacing anything that was showing corrosion, and have fitted the Evo Tech radiator guards.
The exhaust valve cover had to be drilled off as the front and bottom bolt were welded solid as expected. Now replaced with Marine grade stainless. Three of the little fairing rubbers were missing etc. All good information from this community.
A new standard screen should be with me today, I found one on eBay at a good price. I did not mind the tinted one but not a fan of the double bubble that is fitted.
Looking forward to putting some miles on her once the weather warms and the salt has been washed away. They mix it with molasses around here and it sticks and melts onto everything warm like a corrosive glue.
All I have to do now is give her a good polish, and hopefully contribute to this community. Pictures of both bikes.
Thanks Paul
