Finally have time to write a little intro!
My uncle who's a huge Ducati lover (currently on the Multi) has been at me to change my ride for a while. I've had my gixxer k1 for 11years & it's just getting too impractical for me.
I test rode the White Ss beginning of April & fell in love. I love that it has the sport look, but the riding position (especially arm/wrist pressure) is so comfy.
So I'm part xing my Suzuki for the White Ss. I'm having days of ludicrous excitement, but then days of 'What have I done?!' ?.
Just had email saying it will be at dealers in 10 working days time! It's now very real.
Only thing bugging me is the insurance (as my other post). Only having one option with Ducati themselves.

Really enjoying reading people's helpful posts on here and what they've done to theirs! ?will post a pic when I've got it home!

Good decision. A couple of years ago I used to ride a Gixxer 750. Great bike, but very dated. I love the riding position of the SS. It's pretty much half way between the Gixxer and a Multi; which is what I want. It's also very practical: good for canyons, urban, moderate distance touring and some track days.

Welcome to the forums!

The white is the one I want to go for as well as I just love the look. Can't wait to hear your full impressions after you really get to spend some time with it
You won't regret it, welcome to the forum.
I'm sure everyone who hasn't received their 939 is going crazy by now! As most who have, already told you...There will be no regrets. Although it's a pricey machine, if you can afford it and want a great ride...pull the plug.
I'm sure I won't regret it! Just going to be hard to part with my gixxer ? hoping this beaut will serve me well for another 10 or so years.
Looking forward to the MCN show this weekend in Peterborough. Will be able to look at the SS's and think one will be mine very soon!

Haha, it will be like going to a titty bar, you can look and touch but never take it home. Enjoy the expo.

Well, was due to pick mine up next Saturday - Just had a call to say dealers was broken into last night! 3 bikes written off, one stolen...mine!:crying: Thankfully no one hurt. Just means I'll have to wait another couple of weeks! Been assured I will now jump the queue and next bike arriving will be mine.

OMG - that's awful news. Where are you located? (or where is dealer?). This is the second dealer break-in I've read about - I believe the other one posted here happened somewhere in the UK. Are these becoming a high target model for theft?

Lets hope they get that next shipment out to you quickly - hang in there!

Yes dealer's in Croydon. It's also one that's part Kawasaki so plenty of choice! I guess it got spotted inside the showroom as it's been there a few days (haven't been able to get there sooner) and then targeted. I'm glad I stalled on cancelling my current bike insurance & taking out new one :smile2: The wait continues...
