Hi!

Ordered my white SuperSport S about a month ago with all kinds of sweet options :grin2:
From carbon and billet parts to the underseat Akrapovic and smoked windscreen.

Got told by the dealer back then (march 11th) that the bike would be delivered somewhere in the beginning of april.
As of today, april 18th, haven't heard from Ducati whatsoever. They told the dealer 'production is scheduled for april'.

Anyone else experienced this?

I'm starting to get a bit worried since I have a major motorcycle trip planned mid-may.

That's very upsetting. Literally no tracking information, production stage, nothing ?
Nothing. Dealer tells me that as soon the bike is finished Ducati sends a message with frame number etc.
Anyone knows if this is a normal process?

Thats valid, since the dealer needs to arrange the import with the tax office and import office. Also homologation registration. In some countries that can take more than a month, but with you being in the EU it should be sooner.

Pretty much. Once you place an order you go on the production queue. The impression I'm getting is that every bike they're turning out at the moment is sold. I only got a date when my bike went into production.

I guess so.. At which Motoport did you order? (Let's just talk English so everyone understands us, lol)
Did you get an exact date? I first got 'production end of march' and then just 'april'...

Hopefully your dealer will get his act together and you'll get your date soon. My dealer called me this morning, gave me my VIN, and said my new red 'S' with Akra slip-on will be ready for pickup at noon on Saturday. And I'm in the USA!

@klev...surprisingly, I didn't plunk down my 500 buck deposit with Ducati Westlake (in Thousand Oaks) until about 2 weeks ago, thinking I'd be far down on the waiting list. Perhaps it's because we're an hour outside the mayhem of LA/OC that the dealer traffic isn't as insane as it is across the county line. Who knows? I'll post up some pics and a short ride review on the 35 mile back road route I'll take on the twisties from Thousand Oaks to Ventura Saturday evening!
@Ventura17SS I put my 200 down in November! I was hoping that deliveries to San Diego would be one of the first.

Really?!? My dealer has been pretty skimpy on details - so interesting to hear that your dealer seems to have more concrete info. Maybe I'll challenge them to see if I get something more specific.
I placed my deposit last November - so you can just imagine my anticipation!

Never hurts to push them a little bit.
As @steeve says, it never hurts to call them up and ask for an update. I didn't even ask...I just assumed I was probably far down the list since I laid down my deposit so recently. According to my dealer, white is turning out to be more popular than red, so I guess my color choice probably rocketed me up the waiting list.
I have a red for my deposit and i did ask my dealer, but no luck with specific dates, just couple weeks. He wasnt saying it as though its gonna be too long, but did say he'll get me a VIN as soon as he knows about it so that I can start shopping around for insurance
Having read some dealer delivery date comments I thought I would give my dealer a call. You guys (Americas) made me concerned. Well, it seems my dealer knows no more than your dealers, so we are all in the boat together. In fact Italy does not even inform my dealer when the vessel leaves port, my dealer only becomes aware of the bikes status when my local customs bang on their door for tax payment.
