Now that's what i'm looking forward to.It might take a while, but once I get the bike, a tail tidy will be a priority. I intend to design and fabricate my own. It will not accommodate turn signals because I use integrated tail lights. Will share the design once done.
I think a bike looks so much better with a tail tidy. I also think you should not mind having swamp ass when caught in the rain.
I always try to make it as difficult as I can for myself. :wink2: Been known to spend all day making something I could have bought for ten dollars. My intention is to disassemble the tag holder and then try to form everything from sheet Al. If that is not to my liking, I'll machine one out of billet. I have a small lathe and small mill and have made mucho stuff over the years. Now that's what i'm looking forward to.
Do you already have in mind how you're going to execute this since I noticed some people heavily rely on piecing together parts meanwhile others have access to machine shops and create something one off.
I'd be interested in seeing it when you're done. I have the Ducati LED indicators too.I have the Ducati tail tidy on order. The X shaped registration plate holder needs altering to fit a smaller reg plate. It's easy to do, I now have an 8X6 plate on mine. Small enough to look good big enough to not draw the attention of the old bill.
A also have the smaller Ducati LED indicators ready and waiting to fit them when the tail tidy turns up.
