Hi Tez,
Thanks a lot for your video.

Question about your ducati performance levers , what is your feeling compared to stock levers ?

I m looking for adjustable levers for my small hands and better finition.
How did you check for positive and negative? or is the 1 positive for all bikes?
Thanks!!!

From where did u buy the stem? Was that one originally for the 848?

I see one on Amazon, but its described differently: Buybits

Hi Tez,

I had them fitted from new so can't compare with stock
I've never played with the adjustment they fitted me perfectly from new
I'm a size 9 glove ,I'm guessing they set them up mid point?

Hi Klev
I used a cheap multi meter
I striped the cables back on the plug that Ducati supplied crimped the connectors on so they were insulated
Set my multimeter to DC voltage ,
Switched on the ignition and inserted the probe of the multi meter into the crimp connected .then the other probe I touched down to various metal parts till I found an earth , I got a reading of 12.6v I think
Hope this makes sense , if not I'll try and do a short video showing the method I used0:)
I can't say for certain that No 1 will be the positive on all bikes.
Thanks!!!

Thanks for your comments. My size is 7 or 8 (dainese or furygan),
I am going to buy them with a discount 20%. I'll adjust perfectly for my hand mostly for brake lever.
I called into my dealers today I'd seen comments that the plug I used maybe for the heated grips.
Unfortunately they have not received any kits in yet so have not fitted any
They do use the same plug from the pictures they showed me
But what I was told the socket wouldent be live until they activated it in the software .
So they doubt the socket I used was the one for heated grips
Plus it wouldent be continually live only when you selected heated grips which does make sense
Unfortunately the impression I got the heated grips are a long way off.
So I'm going to leave the sat nav connected
I had leant my sat nav out so not actually used on the bike
Hopefully I can collect today I'm doing a full day ride tomorrow and see if any issues .
I'll keep this thread updated .

memory might be failing me, check bubble numbers 62 and 59 in the electrical diagram. They are not permanent live, in fact the solenoid relay and the abs sensors are the only wires which I see are permanent live. The rest only come on with the key on.
Oops my mistake
What I meant to say was with the key on
At this moment in time if the plug was for the heated grips it would not be live.
They need to activate the plug in the software
And until the heated grips were switched on from the handle bar switch the plug would be dead.
Which make sense .

@Tez, are you using the two on the left front side of the tank or the single one on the right under the tank. There's an early thread where a member discovered the right side one, I have tested mine on the right side under the tank and it is live at key on without the dealer enabling anything using their DDS. You only need to remove the right side black panel and feel around the frame and you'll find it.

Ha! Ok now it's all making sense
I'm using the right hand side plug
So all good
I didn't realise there were two others.

Do you now have power at 'key on' to your device
General question. When I trying to strip the sheath off the male plug on the front right side, the entire wire got pulled out and now i have no way to reattach it. Any idea if this plug with wires is available with the dealers?

For now swap it with one of the two others on the other side of the tank. Those connectors are fairly common at an autoelectric shop.

Yes It been working from day one,
I got confused when reading another thread
I thought they were saying the right hand plug I was using was intended for the heated grips.
I obviously read it wrong 🙄

Bit late now
But I used a stanly knife to separate the two cores
The insulation very tough making it awkward to separate the cores.
