Disclaimer: There may be some mistakes, english is not my mothertongue, i'm Sorry :p

Hey guys,

I just joined and I already have quite a Story to tell :)

But first some Things about myself:
I'm 26 years old and living in the northern part of Germany.
i got my license this year and bought my Ducati after testing out some other bikes
such as Honda CBR600RR, VFR800, Yamaha Fazer, Ducati 959 and Monster.

I like the looks of sportsbikes and while i was tempted to buy a cbr600RR first, I'm glad I tried out the supersport.
It's just much more comfy and better to handle for me. I'm 1,86m and riding the Honda gave me some massive pain after about 2 hours of riding.

i ordered my Ducati Supersport S about 4 weeks ago at my local dealer.
It's White, and I also ordered the Akrapovic slip-on, the comfort seat and the short tail.

Just as i licensed the bike, i got a call from my dealer. There was some damage on the bike while in delivery which could not be seen from the outside Look of the box.
Fixing this will take about 2 more weeks. Ill get the fairings changed and some other minor stuff.
Unfortunately i cannot provide Pictures of this, as I forgot my phone @home, when i checked it out.

The Dealer was nice enough to give me another red Supersport to ride until mine is fixed :)

greetings

Congratulations on your new Supersport and welcome to the forums! Sorry to hear about the damage to your new bike in shipping...hopefully your dealer will get it sorted out and it's delivered to you in brand new condition.
Your mastery of English is better than mine, and I've been speaking it for 57 years, since leaving Germany in 1960 at age 5!
Thanks, I like that the dealer was honest about it. I'm sure he will fix it properly, so i can provide you with some pictures :)

i drove through Ventura last year on my holidays. California is awesome, you have so many nice roads to drive, I'm actually really jealous :)

But at least i can legally get close to max speeds with my bike on the autobahn ;)

Welcome and congrats on the bike. Keep us posted on the fixes from damage. Was the damage mostly on the surface, or were there engine pieces broken, too? Of course, be sure and give it a good look-over before accepting...just in case they missed anything.
from what i could tell it was only a minor damage to the fairings of the right side.

i will definitely take pictures when i pick it up! for so long, i will just get used to the bike on the substitute :)

And **** yeah, im excited for my own bike! :)

Welcome, you need to take it to the B500 when it's run in. Your English is great by the way.

greetings
Congrat and welcome !
congrats!

i would high recommend asking the dealer for pictures of the damage. this will help when it comes time to inspect it for damage. looking around and behind the damaged plastics for signs of more damage would only be possible if you knew where the original damage was.

also, if it looked like it fell off the truck and then was run over by the truck or had fire damage, i'd probably just request a new bike. though I'm sure this wasn't the case.
I love it when non-native English speakers apologize for their writing skills then proceed to write better English than everybody else! :)

Welcome, Zanurai!

I wish the Supersport had been my first bike!

On second thought, I don't. The Ducati would have spoiled me and prevented me from enjoying any other bikes!
Welcome on board ... and "immer laufen lassen" ...

Grüße aus dem Rheinland!
