Just picked up my 2018 939 S. Put about 120 miles on it and love it on these Blue Ridge Mountain roads. Can't
wait to bread it in so I can see if there is enough power for my taste. This is my 1st Ducati so thanks in advance for the help I will be needing.

Welcome to the fold. Where in NC are you? Piedmont, mountains? Are you a 73' driver out of CLT by any chance? :wink2:
Actually B777 out of Houston but B737 for 30+ years. Commute to Boone area in the Summer.

Good to see another SS in NC. My brother and I have ridden the blueridge on our monsters and the supersports. Lots of fun. Going to head up to "The Snake" (421) right outside of NC in TN next weekend.

Ah, yes. Sentimental. My '854' handle has been my race number for 21 years because it was the tail number of my helicopter in Vietnam...a lucky number for sure. :grin2:

Welcome mate I moved from a bike with more power and was worried about missing it, I can honestly say some of us will always want more power even though we couldn't use it all in a straight line. but if you Fang ! this machine especial in the twisties which it was bread for she will get your heart racing. (oh Fanging it is giving it plenty)

I ride The Snake quite a bit and actually prefer it to the Dragon. But I ride it on weekdays where I have never seen a cop and most of the time never encounter a car or truck. Keep going into Bristol about 8 miles. It will be a 4 lane and then back into a 2 lane. At the bottom of the hill on the left is a great burger and shake joint while you rest your ass! Or take a right at Shady Valley and the ride to Damascus. Not sure where you are starting from but from there HW58/194 over to Jefferson is a great one too.

Welcome! I'm new as well. Just joined today. I've put 600 miles on my white SS. Loved every mile except for the false neutral to 5th with DQS.

I'm gonna need more info on this Snake. I know the Dragon well, being from the area, but I've not heard of the Snake.
