For anybody wondering without going thru the aforementioned, the price is $170.00 and the discount I believe is 15% off that price.
Please do share the link once you doGot mine today. Gonna make a video for YouTube of the install but it might take a couple weeks to get up.
So maybe a dumb question - but where does the license plate go? Does it lie flush at an angle under the passenger seat?Got mine today. Gonna make a video for YouTube of the install but it might take a couple weeks to get up.
Yes, its below the seat completely up against the undertail section. Motomillion's pics dont show it well enough. Personally, I'm not a fan of this tidy.So maybe a dumb question - but where does the license plate go? Does it lie flush at an angle under the passenger seat?
It's more forward on the bike, flush on the underside a little above the suspension. Being straight up under the passenger seat would make it invisible to cops. Good luck getting that past most departments. :wink2:So maybe a dumb question - but where does the license plate go? Does it lie flush at an angle under the passenger seat?
I guess it is relative to where you reside. If you look at the bike straight from behind it is actually fairly legible. The questionable part is if you live in an area with tolls, then I guess free tolls 0It's more forward on the bike, flush on the underside a little above the suspension. Where I was living previously in Plano, TX I was pulled over several times for a position slightly lower on my SV650S than the NRC holder gives on my SuperSport.I guess it is relative to where you reside. Here in south Florida the traffic enforcement is almost non existent.Where I was living previously in Plano, TX I was pulled over several times for a position slightly lower on my SV650S than the NRC holder gives on my SuperSport.
"Well, you can't drive around with it like that because people use it to run from us without pulling over."
"... I'm sitting here pulled over right now, you realize." :|
Had to move to a perfectly vertical plate sticking near the end of the tail before their cops and courts would leave me alone. So far Austin doesn't seem to care though... :grin2:
The license plate is still pretty visible and the lights are pretty bright for the license plate. When you sit inside a car and look at the tail of the bike with this tail tidy kit, you can ready the license plate.Definitely need more photos but just looking at the ones in the prior page, that would render me completely vulnerable for the police to harass the heck out of me and undoubtedly give me a ticket for it.
Its not just the license plate. The indicator lights are too close to easily mistake left for right and the other way around. Not to mention the safety issue. As it is bikes are narrow and looking at this it makes me think that if I look at this from a distance, both indicators would look lit up due to light bleed at day and at night. The license plate is still pretty visible and the lights are pretty bright for the license plate. I would hate to live somewhere that the cops have nothing else to do bu harass for license plates that are visible.
