Ideally a poll can be created with 100 increments. No one wants to dish out their number so increments should do. Mine is between 550 to 600
I'd like to know whether Ducati considers the new SS a sales "success". I hope so.Does anyone know how many Supersports (standard and S) were made? Thx in advance. I did some web search and also cross this entire forum but not coming up with this figure. Is it in the thousands?
I think the dealers do. They couldn't keep them in stock for more than a week around here.I'd like to know whether Ducati considers the new SS a sales "success". I hope so.
Yeah this is what I'm trying to understand too. I guess I should've asked how many are sold divided # produced or whatever metric is used. I'd like to understand this as a means to compel vendors to make aftermarket parts.I'd like to know whether Ducati considers the new SS a sales "success". I hope so.
Hi, when you can, can you link your poll here please? I'd like to participate/ see it. I did a forum wide search on polls here and based on respondents to two polls, which Supersport did you buy and age of Supersport owners, the number of owners is minimally 100, with total conjecture is that only 200-500 worldwide? Even with 1000, that is a small market (?). I'd guess parts which are compatible for the Hypermotard would be more of an appetizing business strategy.Ideally a poll can be created with 100 increments. Remember that there are also 2 plants, indicated by the "B" or "T" (Italian/Thai respectively) in your VIN before the 6 digit sequential number.Mine is between 2100-2200 (last 4 of the VIN right?)
All SS are built in Italy. I will be very shocked if you find a T in the vin. The retro bikes such as the scramblers are built in Thailand.Remember that there are also 2 plants, indicated by the "B" or "T" (Italian/Thai respectively) in your VIN before the 6 digit sequential number.Mine is between 2100-2200 (last 4 of the VIN right?)
Mine is between 270-275 from the Italian Factory
There is also a plant in Brazil (for tax reasons) but I'm not sure if it's an assembly plant only. Also don't know if any supersports are built or assembled there. All SS are built in Italy. My statistics are from italian Transport Ministry and every month are published on their own site and on most important bike magazinesWhere are you guys getting your data?
Exact, no SuperSport production in ThailandAll SS are built in Italy. I will be very shocked if you find a T in the vin. Wow. I didn't realize that the Brazilians were a large enough market that it was more cost effective for them to have their own manufacturing plant. :surprise: Interesting.Plant in Brazil produces bikes for the local market only...
