Reached out to DucatiUSA about delivery....

4394 Views 25 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  amoslws
Reached out to DucatiUSA thru FB to express my frustration on their delivery process and the lack of info on the whereabouts of my bike. A Raymond Ramirez contacted me from DucatiUSA and thru his resources he was able to provide info that my bike has cleared customs and is on the road en-route to my dealership. So by this time next week, my butt should be firmly planted in the comfy seat of the SS. I'm stoked. :grin2:

Glad to see they monitor it. Good going.
Good for you - and awesome news. Maybe I should give it a try.
Did you post something with @ducatiusa in your message? I did not find a page for 'ducatiusa', but saw one 'Ducati USA', but that appears to be some sort of venue.
Wow thats great news...can you call him for me too? lol

I did call my dealer today...1 of the 3 in the NY/NJ area. They have taken delivery 3 Supersports so far: 1 demo S model and 2 base model Supersports. He told me that they have deposits on 6 model S's. To me that doesnt make any sense since their deposits are all on the S. Anyway...he did say that he would start ordering my accessories now since he feels things are close for the next wave. He confirmed that there was no rhyme or reason to how Ducati is shipping them out. He has been in touch with other dealers and they all seem to be a little confused.

Hopefully we are close....
FL Delivery Tomorrow

The bike I put money down on (Red S) arrived today and my brother will take delivery tomorrow.

I've posted something to Ducati FB page, and also tried calling the individual noted in the earlier post. I'm really kind of blown away by the lack of info made available to either myself or my dealer.

Good luck with that, for the record, I will not put my ducati in any of my brothers hands.

So you were not given any specific info if it was even shipped or an expected delivery date? Looks like JaggerCat at least got confirmation his was on US soil and on it's way. How is it that we cannot get similar info? For the record, I called Raymond Ramirez, left message on his voice mail, posted something on the Ducati.na Facebook page, and hound my dealer daily..... meanwhile people in CA, FL, GA, MN and even Toronto are riding on their bikes.
Skr9, check this out...

Received tracking number for my base Supersport today! Bike is in Harrisburg, PA as well. Expected to be delivered to my Minnesota dealer on Tuesday. We'll see how long after that I actually get to welcome her appropriately. I put my money down on April 15th at which time the bike was ordered. That makes a two and a half week wait. Not too bad in my mind.

I know it's the base model, BUT SERIOUSLY!!!

Yea - thats just awesome. Someone in Minnesota puts money down and gets a bike within three weeks. I put money down for an order the day these were launched in November and don't have a single bit of info. Makes total sense to me, and certainly acceptable customer service. TERRIBLE!

Well said. But it's his now. For reasons stated in another post, I ended up buying a '17 Monster 1200 S instead. My brother was super excited to now have the Supersport. Unfortunately for him, his wife is seriously p'd and he'll be sleeping in the garage with the bike tonight.:laugh::laugh:

I just spoke to the Ducati rep and got what I thought was the runaround, saying he doesn't any kind of tracking number, that only the dealership are given that from the parent company, that even tho I gave him MY invoice #, it's not necessarily my bike, that the dealers can't call him because he has nothing to give them for ANY info. He also told me that he is one of three ppl in his office that represents Ducati of North America. I told him I was done with him and hung up on him.
I tried to warn you guys about the Ducati delivery process way back when all the posts started about how the salesman told buyers when their bike was coming in. My several posts about it were always followed by some uninformed optimists' posts saying their bike was promised on such and such date. Now there is much complaining and foot stomping. Can''t say you were not warned. :frown2: I've gone through the process two times and my wait time for each has been the same almost to the exact number of days. Irritating as it is, my decision has been to accept it. If I couldn't accept it, I would just move on and save my tears. But before I did that, I would ascertain if the problem was with, or a result of the dealer, or the factory. Having seen one example here of a cause analysis distilled down to a group knee jerk, I have little confidence that an accurate decision will be made.

Thank you for your words of overwhelming encouragement.:|

Facts can sometimes be discouraging. However, on the bright side of things, your bike will show up and you will see the wait was worth it. Speaking for myself, I also have to accept that my Akra system will arrive.....eventually. :|

What were the past delivery times from your experience, from ordering to actual delivery?
