Hi guys / gals,

over a year ago I took off the rear foot pegs as I’ll never carry a pillion.
I should have but didn’t screw in the bolts and now I cannot locate them.
I’d like to replace the bolts to keep the thread clear and clean, can you advise me the size of bolts I need, I’m thinking M8 or M10 but it’s a wild guess ?

Thanks , ride safe

@Throbber Thanks, interesting to note the Ducati OEM catalog just indicates “screw” for that part. :)

Technically, the difference between a bolt and a screw is that a bolt is not usually threaded all the way along its shank as it has a plain section adjacent to the head. A screw however, is threaded fully to the head.
That said, in the Ducati parts list, they seem to call them all screws, regardless of whether the thread is the full length or not.

Trip, I've guessed that the terms "screw" and "bolt" are mixed in translation. As an aside, those 1960s manuals for Japanese bikes were really a hoot.
