Rear stand

I was under the impression that one either owns a 6 bolt rear hub or a 5 bolt rear hub Re: SSArm Ducatis. So, one need only make sure that the Ducati compatible stand matches the 5 or 6.

Was just about to order this on Ebay when I noticed the posting has a "compatibility finder", so I filled out for 2017 SS and it said

"This part is not compatible with 2017 Ducati Super Sport"

(head scratch) Soooooo.....is my initial paragraph in error?

No one has a rear stand for their bike???

I do... but I use PitBull stands. I have the Single-sided rear, and their forklift stand, but not much help to your original question. Sorry!
Yeah, I have that one too lol. Here is the rear pin part number by itself if someone needs to order: (taken off of my invoice email)

......
You are correct.
I'm using a Pitbull universal swingarm stand and a set of Speedymoto spools/sliders through the hub. This way I can use the stand with all the bikes in my garage, at least until I need to take the rear wheel off.

I bought the Ducati Rear Paddock Stand and it works great. Part#: 96797310B. Not cheap, $330 including shipping.

I did the same thing with my Monsters, but with a cheapo stand. Great minds? :wink2:
Got into a bad habit of just positioning the stand and then cranking it up before moving the bike upright. Over the years, it put too much strain on one leg and started bending it. Could have prevented that but didn't for some unknown reason.
Now use PitBull hybrid with reversible handle.
I have a Ducati stand, that once was bought for a Ducati Street Fighter. Fits perfectly.
I have the Abba stand with the kit that adds the wheels so you can move it around. Not as quick to deploy as the normal rear stand but the bike sits SOLID when its up.

I think we are going to have identical equipment soon. I also went with the Abba stand. Solid! Wish the swing arm pivot was a tad deeper.

Slightly off topic, what is the bolt hole for near the kickstand / chain?

I'm stumped! nice find.
I would venture to guess that is a parts bin piece and probably filled a need on another bike.

It looks like it is for a rubber stopper for the stand (on another bike)

Timely bump for the thread for me. Something I want to have here by the time the bike arrives.
.

Going by the pitbull list, ( https://www.pit-bull.com/motorcycle...-large-hub-includes-left-right-pins-f0099-210 ) I would suspect that either of these two (cheapest options in Oz) would fit as looks like 6 bolts..?. (Can one of you experts cast a quick glance over them and comment please.
