Not a fan of the gold wheels, somehow I feel like they make it look cheap. That red/white paint on the other hand, looks really good... the real question though, how will we know if that one is faster than our colors?
That gold is gonna need a lot more cleaning!Found these on Instagram posted by Ducati Aarschot.
First is a Red S with gold powder coated wheels and the second is a Red S with painted Tricolore fairings (maybe not as there doesn't look like there is any green). I was really liking the Vinyl kits, but i probably wouldn't buy a vinyl kit after seeing one painted. looks much cleaner.
I like the gold wheels, but I would make the color a little richer, not so washed out as this one. Especially in matte black the wheels disappear as a design feature.Found these on Instagram posted by Ducati Aarschot.

I think this is the first time you and I have been in agreement on something.I like the gold wheels, but I would make the color a little richer, not so washed out as this one. Especially in matte black the wheels disappear as a design feature.
Obviously has flaws of both colors, with none of the benefits of either,so, clearly slower than red or white.:grin2:Not a fan of the gold wheels, somehow I feel like they make it look cheap. Tasteful blingy at that :smile2:I'd also find irony in the number of people who own Ducatis (here and elsewhere) calling gold wheels "too blingy" but also the number of people who "upgrade" to Rizoma fluid reservoirs, Ducabike clear clutch covers and billet aluminum rearsets thinking that they're not blingy at all.
Two members of the forum (one white & one red) have met up and swapped them around. Both bikes looks great thereafter.Obviously has flaws of both colors, with none of the benefits of either,so, clearly slower than red or white.:grin2:
Edit to add: I really want to see what a red bike looks like with red wheels. I don't know why, it might even be hideous, but, my curiosity has been piqued.
Normally, I don't agree with having a garage queen that rarely gets ridden, but I'd do that with an old F series. My first bike was a 1992 F2. Had that really awesome Black/Purple/Pink color scheme like a "Jazz" Solo cup. I even had a matching AGV helmet.
Came with white wheels though.
Your wheels look like the new autumn 2017 PVM series. If I am right, have you felt any improvements over the stock rims? PVM claims that their rims will provide a lot more stability when cornering and braking...?I like my silver wheels better
