I tried one before getting the SS, and the XR wasn’t for me.

Too heavy in general, top heavy, high freq vibes, little low end torque. Seems like they solved the vibe problem, finally, though.

Still, it might be right for others. Just not me.

Rode one as well, my impressions are exactly the same. The rider that swapped with me was going on and on about how great this new bike was compared to his K1200S, I didn’t agree.

That’s interesting, as you might recall I had the K1200S and actually rode it back to back with the XR, and also had exactly the opposite impression...why would I ever trade a K12 for this?

But, different strokes for different folks!

Think so, too. The XR doesn't make sense. It's a worse R 1250 GS.
