In the picture at the Ducati website it looks a bit grey but in reality it isn’t. This saddle is slightly flatter, so you have less of the feeling that you are sitting in a hollow. You can now move forward and back a little more easily.

I have that seat. It came on my bike. I never saw the bike before I boughtit so didn’t know the equipment other than it was an S model. I want a seat that is tighter with regular leather cover. May sound silly but it’s what I’m used to

So none of the Ducati seats are a standard "vinyl" like most motorcycle seats are. Unless your bike was bought used, you will definitely have the "standard" seat (the S and standard model have the same seat) which has a texture to it.

You'll get used to it, give it time. How many miles do you have on the bike? BTW, it's not a leather seat but vinyl. Just bringing that up that to help when you are looking.
